Silver Jubilee Celebration of Rockvale Academy – 2009

Rockvale Academy, established in 1984 with just around 100 students, celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2009, marking 25 years of academic excellence, growth, and community spirit.

The occasion was commemorated with a day-long programme that brought together current students, alumni, teachers, and well-wishers from across the region and abroad. From its modest beginnings, Rockvale had evolved into a thriving institution with over 1,200 students, including many from Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Thailand, and Singapore, reflecting its international reach and reputation.

The Silver Jubilee celebrations were a blend of joy, reflection, and heartfelt reunion. The events included:

  • A vibrant School Concert showcasing the talents of students through music, dance, and drama, celebrating the school’s cultural spirit.

  • A fun-filled Picnic, allowing students, teachers, and alumni to relax and reconnect in an informal setting, reminiscent of their school days.

  • A grand Gala Dinner, which served as the highlight of the celebration — a night of speeches, laughter, shared memories, and a strong sense of togetherness.

These events not only honoured the legacy of Rockvale but also deepened the bonds within its extended family. It was a time to celebrate the achievements of the past and look forward to the future with hope and pride.

As the day concluded, the sense of nostalgia and gratitude was palpable. The Silver Jubilee was a fitting tribute to the school’s remarkable journey and the lasting impact it has had on generations of students.
